Join XRDC on December 2nd at the Wharf for some holiday cheer as we tell Washington DC NO MORE PROJECT PIPES!

As many of you already know, XRDC has been campaigning to get City Council to put a stop to Washington Gas’ PROJECTpipes. This project would lock DC into decade more gas dependence when we should be working towards sustainable energy!

Washington Gas is sponsoring the District’s Holiday Boat Parade in an attempt to portray themselves as a charitable, family friendly company. We are calling their bluff! If they cared about families, they would prioritize the health and safety of DC citizens. Instead, they are trying to force dangerous methane gas into the homes of DC residents for decades to come while squeezing as much money out of the ratepayers as possible. We intend on making a splash at this event to get our message across—End methane, electrify DC! Stop PROJECTpipes!

We will be caroling throughout the area with fun, climate related song lyrics. There will also be many different activities that we can subvert, including holiday Karaoke where we can continue our climate caroling, ornament decorating where we can make rebellious art, and family photos with Santa where we can tell Santa what we really want for Christmas is a livable future!
