Hello XR gardeners and green thumbs! Gardens across DC are in need of attention, and XRDC is uniquely positioned to help out.
Join XRDC for a Garden Maintenance Meetup Day on Sunday, June 28. We’ll be sending small teams of volunteers to garden spaces all over DC, to both guerrilla gardens planted by XRDC in the spring and to local community gardens that have requested volunteers. There are many sites to go to and plenty of roles to fill for all abilities and ages.
While we’re gathered at these gardens, we’ll be discussing ways to organize ongoing maintenance of garden spaces, as well as guerrilla gardening projects we can take over the next few months, with an eye toward our next guerrilla gardening planting day in the fall.
