Demystifying COP27

  • New Community Church 614 S Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20001 United States (map)

Join XRDC and EarthRights International for a conversation about COP27. From policy negotiations to direct actions, we’ll tell you what really happened and why it matters. What goes on behind the curtain at the UN climate talks? What can we expect from COP28 with an oil executive heading talks? What is loss and damage, and what can we advocate for at COP28?

EarthRights Climate Change Policy Advisor Natalia Gomez, Digital Organizer Audrey Schreiber, and Human Rights Storyteller Cayla Nimmo will answer those questions, share their experiences at COP27, and and strategize with DC-based climate activists on how we can influence negotiations at this year’s COP28. XRDC rebels will share ways to get involved in local on-the-ground organizing and direct actions.
